Privileges of Becoming a Member
The most important part of becoming a member is that you're now a part of a group of people who are just like you: we all love theatre.

- working on performances with us. We ask that all returning actors and technicians become a member. This troupe couldn't function without you.
- vote on major troupe issues. We won't do anything affecting the base of ACTT without asking you first.
- run for a position on the Board of Officers. Without people willing to help guide our troupe along and make decisions, we'd never have any performances.
- direct plays. Plays come both big and small, but all of them need the right people to take their vision and make it a reality.
- attend member-only events. These are just for you, and they usually include great food and a fantastic time.
Membership
As found in the bylaws:
Article III- Members (revised January, 2015)
Section 1- To receive membership one must submit an application to the board of officers. Upon majority approval of their application one is made a member of the theatre troupe.
Section 2- Members will also be expected to pay an annual fee of five dollars to retain membership. Such fee will be due no later than April 30th of each year. Members who have not paid their fee or made appropriate arrangements with the board will be considered delinquent and may have all membership privileges revoked in accordance with Article XIV. Each year, the board may choose to increase the dues by at most, two dollars. This effect will take place the following year and the bylaws will be changed to reflect the new amount. Members who join later than August 31st will be exempt from payment of dues for the following year.
Section 3- Members of any age can hold any position of authority within the troupe. If state of federal law demands a minimal age for any duty, and if the member selected does not meet said age requirement, then an older member shall be chosen by the board to assist.
Section 4- Members are expected to comply with the rules of these bylaws and never act as a representative of the Arnold Community Theatre Troupe without board approval. Violation of this agreement makes all members subject to removal of their membership status by the board of officers.
