The 2016 Board of Officers is....*Drum Roll Please*
President: Mike Singer Jr. Secretary: Andrea Delay Treasurer: Mike Singer III Publicity: Shelby Roberts Operations: Jake Singer Congratulations to the new board! We look forward to finding out what this year's show season will be. Special Thanks to 2015 board: Billy Busch (President), Keith Henderson (Secretary), Mike Singer III (Treasurer), Aileen Wolk (Publicist), and John "Jake" Singer (Operations Manager). ACTT has had a very successful year under your management and thanks you for all of the hard work and effort you put into keeping the troupe actively functioning during 2015. As for me, I've had a fantastic time managing the website this past year. It still needs a lot of work in places, but with our new publicity team, I think it'll only get better. It's been a pleasure writing these blog posts, and I hope you'll continue to check back here often. Thank you so much for your dedication to the troupe and don't forget to join us this year for some great performances! *Lights down* -Aileen Wolk 2015 ACTT Publicist (I expect a huge round of applause if not a standing ovation.) Come out and join us this Saturday, January 23rd at 6pm to vote on the 2016 board and mingle with the members of ACTT. Pizza and soda will be provided. Don't miss out on this fantastic night. This party is a members-only event, but you can easily become one by paying the $5 membership fee for 2015.
Here are the candidates for the 2016 board: Mike Singer, Jr. Mr. Singer is a former Police Officer, and has served in many capacities as an officer in other organizations. In A.C.T.T. he served as a substitute board member for a short time in 2014. Most recently, he played “Polonius" in Hamlet and he co-wrote this years Night Before Christmas play. He also wrote and directed the one-act One Last Time, as well as writing the 2012 one-act Worth Waiting For. “I would like to serve the Troupe as an officer on the board to help the Troupe continue to grow and prosper. I am pleased with the work of the previous boards, and would not seek an office due to any dissatisfaction with any of the boards actions or in the direction the board has taken the Troupe. I am interested in any of the seats on the board, and am not seeking election to any one particular service. However, I do not wish to be considered for any office that any current board members may seek, as I believe their previous service merits their election to any office they desire.” [editor’s note: Since Mr. Singer is the only candidate who expressed interest in the position of President, he has been slotted into that part of the ballot.] John "Jake” Singer Jake would like to run again for the board of officers in 2016, having previously served as Operations Manager (under its various names throughout the years) for the past four boards. "I would be interested to help the troupe in any way I can, and am excited for the 2016 year! My preference is to continue as Operations Manager, but I would also be happy to serve under the title of Publicity if the voters prefer.” Mike Singer III Mike is currently studying law at SLU. He has been with ACTT since the beginning, serving as the "Gopher" on the first 2011-2013 board, as president of the troupe in 2013, and as treasurer in 2015. He would like to continue as Treasurer in 2016 so that he can see projects such as gaining 501c3 status through to completion. You may also know him as the director of 2015’s Hamlet! Andrea Delay Annie is interested in running for Secretary. This will be her first time on the board. She was a big part of the 2015 One-Act Festival, directing Moon Child, and acting in both Helping Donald and Tales from the Mommy Wars. For Hamlet, she was one of the players, and also the grave digger! There is also room for a 5th person on the board, in case anyone would like to nominate a write-in candidate. Please note: The candidate written in will be given the choice as whether or not he or she would like to serve on the board. No one will be picked without both the consent of the previous board and the written candidate. |
