DirectorsMike Singer III and Annie Delay will serve as co-directors for our summer production of Shakespeare's The Tempest! Congratulations! AuditionsThe Arnold Community Theatre Troupe is holding auditions for this year’s production of the Tempest. This is an outdoor event, held in the field next to the Arnold Recreation Center. The show dates are July 12-14 and 19-21 with show times to be announced.
Auditions will be on Friday April 12 from 6-8pm and on Saturday April 13 from 10am-4pm. There may be callbacks on April 14 from 1-4 if necessary. If you wish to audition but are not available for any of those times please contact the directors as soon as possible. Walk-ins are welcome but scheduling a time is encouraged. Audition time slots will be held for people who previously scheduled and audition time. Actors interested should prepare a Shakespearean monologue (from memory preferred) not longer than 2 minutes in length. Actors wishing to audition for the roles of Prospero, Caliban, Ariel, Ferdinand, Antonio, Alonso, and Miranda are encouraged to prepare a plotting, devious, or other dramatic monologue which they feel fits with the character. Actors wishing to audition for the roles of Trinculo, Stephano, Gonzalo, and Adrian are encouraged to prepare a lighthearted or comedic monologue. For actors with no specific preference, any Shakespearean monologue is acceptable. Please do not prepare a monologue from the Tempest. Actors wishing to audition for the role of Ariel will be asked to briefly sing a cappella. To schedule an audition time or for any other questions please email a[email protected] .
