The Arnold Community Theatre Troupe is now soliciting suggestions for plays to put on during our 2014 season. We will consider both original works and published plays; both short one-acts and full-length productions. Get together with your friends and propose a project. We can help you make it a reality!
Interested producers, technicians, actors, directors and volunteers are all invited to join in bringing our next projects to life. Right now we are making our major plans for the rest of the year, and so this is the time to let us know if you have a great idea for a show we should do. We are especially interested in ideas that are accompanied by people willing to pursue the resources needed to make the show happen, however we will consider any suggestion. The deadline for first-round consideration is Thursday, April 3. Later suggestions will also be considered, on a space-available basis. Please submit your ideas for consideration using this form. Any questions or offers of help should be addressed to [email protected] Members of the Arnold Community Theatre Troupe our treasurer, Robert Jones, would like to remind everyone that it is time to pay your yearly dues. To give a small idea how important dues are to the troupe, the amount of dues collected covers half to the performance rights for one show. That may not seem impressive but that means a lot in the long run to keep this troupe going. Just to remind you that if you joined and paid after August last year, you do not need to pay this year. If you joined after August but have not paid you still must do that. To pay your dues, you can pay either check or cash to Robert Jones before or after any board meeting. If you can’t make it to a board meeting you can contact Robert and make arrangement at another time and place. You can also pay by Paypal by clicking here. Keep in mind that paypal has a 30 cent service charge. Also if you are having trouble paying the $3.00 for dues contact the board and we will work it out. We don’t want this to stop anyone from directing or producing a show this season. Dues, or other arrangements for them, must be paid no later than May 31.
For your information, we're about two weeks behind in our planning because of snow days. Expect information soon on how to propose shows for this season. Decisions will be made starting at the end of the month.
Our next board meeting is Sunday, March 16, across the hall from the Arnold Urgent Care Center at 2pm. Just a reminder, the major items on the agenda will be organizational, addressing how best to function as a board. For a copy of the agenda or if you want to suggest an item for the agenda, or if you'd like to be updated as meeting plans change, please send an email request to: [email protected]. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by going to About - The Board - Board Meetings. You can also RSVP at [email protected]. If you can, please come out and join us!
