The end of the 2015 season has arrived! Thank you to everyone who came out and participated this year!
Run for the Board: We are still looking for candidates for next year's board! Unfortunately, we do not have many candidates so far. The board is essential in organizing the shows performed each year as well as general maintenance of the troupe (storage locker for equipment, bank account, etc). The board consists of the President who runs meetings and oversees committees, the Secretary who takes meeting minutes and updates the inventory and other documents, the Treasurer who pays bills and maintains the bank account, the Publicist who maintains the website and helps spread the word about our troupe, and the Operations Manager who helps wherever needed. Please consider running for the board. Please let us know by the end of this week if you are interested. Voting party: Be prepared to have a great time! We will be having a Voting Party to vote for the new board on Saturday January 23 at 6 pm at the Urgent Care. If you cannot make it, we will be sending out absentee ballots in the coming weeks. Remember, in order to vote you must have your dues paid. If you don't or are new to the troupe, just bring $5 to the party to cover your membership dues. Pizza and soda will be provided. Murder mystery dinner: We have been invited to perform a Murder Mystery Dinner! Before we can go on, however, we need to write the script for this murder mystery. Wind up your creative gears! We're in need of an interactive play with a small cast size (about 3-5 actors). If you are interested in writing this, let us know as soon as possible. The dinner is set to be sometime in March. Have you been dreaming of sugar plums or hearing hooves on the roof in the middle of the night as the reindeer practice their rounds? Then you must be excited for Christmas and have been joining in all of the regular Christmas traditions: hanging up Christmas lights, decorating the tree, eating... I mean, baking Christmas cookies, and reading the holiday classic Twas the Night Before Christmas! How about putting a little spin on these timeless customs this year? Join us tomorrow and Sunday at 1 pm & 4 pm at the Children's Illustrated Art Museum in Chesterfield Mall for a brand new, live adaptation of Twas the Night Before Christmas. Prepare your Christmas list and make sure to be extra nice because you might get to meet Santa Claus! Bring your family and friends, and don't miss out on this fantastic interactive experience.
Don't miss our performance of Twas the Night Before Christmas December 12th & 13th at the Children's Illustrated Art Museum in Chesterfield Mall. Tickets are on sale for $10 each. You may purchase them online or in person. Bring your family and experience this classic poem like you never have before! Travel through the museum with Papa while singing Christmas carols, eating Christmas cookies, and waiting for Santa Claus to arrive. Performances will be at 1 pm & 4 pm both days. We can't wait to see you there! Board Elections are also swiftly approaching. If you're interested in becoming a board member, let us know! Email us at [email protected] with your name, which position(s) you'd like to run, and why. Feel free to include a photo of yourself as well. We'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about the positions. We hope you consider running. The troupe couldn't go on without our hardworking board of officers. Entries are due at the end of December. The troupe is also hoping to plan an end-of-the-year/winter party for all of its members. Stay tuned and let us know if you're interested. |
